"Art that mocks the mundane"!

Chris Krajniak has spent over 25 years studying and producing art. Krajniak has studied the fine arts at the Prado Museum in Madrid, Spain, Chinese artifacts in Guangzhou, China, religious icons in Dehra Dun, India, local art in Three Lakes, WI, and most recently, church and temple relics of the Holy Land and the Middle East, and the vast ancient ruins of Greece.

Glass etching, metal sculpting, and abstract painting have kept Chris immersed in the Hanuman Art Studio on the Old St. Mary's campus. He has developed an individualized approach to his most recent works on canvas. "All paintings are original and no two are alike". Chris chooses  acrylic paint for all of his works.

Chris has sold numerous paintings including  commissioned work sent to Greece. Krajniak paints on canvases that range from 30 square feet to less than one square foot. His work was recently featured in the April 2008 Gallery Night in Milwaukee at the Art Nouveau Gallery and in the Walk of Art in Wauwatosa, WI.

As the former President of the Milwaukee Arts Board and Alderman, Chris introduced the "Artists Live-Workspace" ordinance that was adopted by the full Milwaukee Common Council, allowing artists to combine their studios and living quarters under one roof.

Chris is an active Advisory Board member and consultant to the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Racine, WI and Chicago, IL.
